For existing systems, where updating and optimization of energy consumption is required, instrumental measurements are carried out to accurately determine the compressed air consumption required by the processes for the verification and possible updating of the compressed air supply units. This upgrade may require a smaller amount of compressed air with a corresponding reduction in power consumption compared to the current level. In such cases, the opportunity to invest in upgrading the air plant by replacing one or more compressors is evaluated.
