Plant Prevention: Testing and Inspections

Plant Prevention: Testing and Inspections

By Germana Falcone

How can you ensure maximum efficiency from compressed air systems? Compressor maintenance procedures are rather complex and delicate, involving a whole series of steps that must only be carried out by serious and skilled professionals in the sector. However, one of the main steps in ensuring the perfect functioning of compressor systems used within companies is undoubtedly prevention.

It is essential to carry out preventive checks and tests on these systems before any damage becomes apparent. In this sense, prevention is primarily aimed at ensuring the safety of workers and the buildings that house the systems. These tests and checks are carried out in full and strict compliance with current regulations, both in terms of safety and environmental protection. If the correct tests are not carried out on the system, and in the event of damage to it, it is certainly the end customer who suffers the most, but also the supplier of that system (as they will not subsequently have the opportunity to prove that they were not involved in that unfortunate event).

As clearly stated in Article 71 of Legislative Decree 81/08,testing and inspections must be carried out at the expense of the employer and owner of the company, who is also obliged to keep all documentation relating to the systems. Riem Service has been involved for years not only in the maintenance of compressed air systems, but is also specialized and highly qualified in carrying out prevention (testing and verification) on all types of compressed air systems, in accordance with current regulations. Entrusting maintenance and prevention procedures to Riem also means ensuring that you can count on reliable data regarding your system in the future, thus guaranteeing its perfect efficiency.
