Velocis, the latest addition to the Gardner Denver family under the Elmo Rietschle brand, is a brand new development in the world of pneumatic transport. It is an innovation in the field of side channel blowers and is marketed as a high-performance ‘reversible machine’. Why is it called a ‘reversible machine’? It’s easy to explain: Velocis can be used interchangeably as a blower, compressor, vacuum cleaner, or vacuum pump. All this is possible thanks to the simple installation of the accessories that come with the machine. The operation of this fantastic machine is the heart of its uniqueness: it uses a dynamic gas compression system based on the principle of regenerative channels. In simpler terms, the gas is sucked into a circular chamber, in which there are a series of oriented blades that push and transform kinetic energy into dynamic pressure. This new generation of high-performance side channel blowers focuses on the transfer of plastic granules, using an air flow with speeds between 15 and 25 meters per second, which allows the material to be moved horizontally with a wave-like motion at the bottom of the transfer pipes. The Velocis range of blowers is based on a completely innovative impeller profile, which reduces turbulent motion that transforms into heat and noise thanks to improved air thrust inside the impeller. Velocis is equipped with Siemens motors and is available with inverters of various sizes, reaching a maximum power of 22 kW. All blowers comply with European CE and American CUL standards.
